WIP Nintendo shoes by vcallanta WIP Nintendo shoes by vcallanta
So I've noticed a few people on deviantART and Myspace who decorate/paint their owns shoes.
They have always looked awesome and I've seen everything painted from sneakers to high heels to boots.
I decided to give it a shot, except with cheapo canvas shoes.
So I drew the designs on them today, but I'm going to paint them later (I have a lot of other stuff to do/make right now).
I haven't come up with an original design so I just did Nintendo because I'm a Nintendo geek.
On these shoes: Kirby, Link, Triforce symbol, Nintendo controller, Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Starfox, Starfox logo, and mushroom.
(All characters are copyright Nintendo.)
These are size 8 but for some reason they're too big for me but they fit my husband (who wears a size 8.5) perfectly.
I still don't know if I bought women's or men's shoes, the box didn't say.
So I guess these are his unless he doesn't want them.
I think they are cute right now, I hope I don't mess them up when I paint them.

P.S. If you are interested in painted shoes, check out mburk here on DA, his are awesome: [link]

Here's the finished pair: [link]

Just start out simple. Find a pair of shoes you like or want to practice on, clean them off, draw what you want on them with a permanent (fine point) marker, and then paint over that with fabric paint. I recommend getting a few detail brushes too, they help a lot.

Yes I have. I'm going to paint these and see how easy/hard that is first though.
But I already had a girl request a pair, that was fast heehee :giggle:
